About the project
I worked with BlaBlaCar, a European car/ride sharing company as a freelance designer. I created a series of billboard and display ads for use
in various locations throughout Europe. The aims of these campaigns were to ultimatley get more users to register on the app as either a rider or a driver to share your car.
The incentives of the platform being that the driver gets paid from passengers, and passengers get a cheaper ride than a taxi, or for more convience than public transport.
The key messaging would convey the easiness of use and friendliess of the platform, instilling an element of trust into the users.
One of the main projects I worked on was the 'Thank you' out-of-home campaign in Germany, these ads showing drivers receiving thank-you messages from their
passengers to whom they had given a ride. They appeared on static and animated billboards.
This campaign is related to a TV campaign which launched in the summer of 2016, and thus served as a teaser.
